Donyé Smith, MEd, LPC Associate

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate) with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and maturing adults. I am qualified to provide counseling services under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor(LPC-S). My formal education has prepared me to serve individuals, groups, couples, and families. I have worked in multiple settings with clients of varied ethnic and racial backgrounds dealing with depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, trauma, and domestic violence.

I believe that a strong counseling relationship and providing a safe, non-judgmental environment are the foundation of the therapy process. I take a Humanistic approach. I am here to help guide and support you in your journey. We will use cognitive behavior or trauma-focused care and other techniques to address the difficulties you are experiencing. We will work together to adjust behaviors and develop new coping skills to help in living the life you desire and reaching your life goals.
