Rae Garr, MA, LPC Supervisor
Rae Garr is a life-long resident of Fort Bend County and attended FBISD schools. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, Rae continued her education at Houston Baptist University where she received a Master of Arts in Psychology. Her experience at the Houston Area Women’s Center ignited her passion in understanding the varying facets of trauma and privileged her the opportunity to witness the resiliency of individuals. In 2006, Rae received her license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and is now a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. She has established a private practice in the Fort Bend County community. Rae’s belief is that helping to Restore the individual fosters the ability to Restore relationships, families, and communities.
Donyé Smith, MEd, LPC Associate
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate) with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and maturing adults. I am qualified to provide counseling services under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor(LPC-S). My formal education has prepared me to serve individuals, groups, couples, and families. I have worked in multiple settings with clients of varied ethnic and racial backgrounds dealing with depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, trauma, and domestic violence.
I believe that a strong counseling relationship and providing a safe, non-judgmental environment are the foundation of the therapy process. I take a Humanistic approach. I am here to help guide and support you in your journey. We will use cognitive behavior or trauma-focused care and other techniques to address the difficulties you are experiencing. We will work together to adjust behaviors and develop new coping skills to help in living the life you desire and reaching your life goals.
