Natisha Wilson, Graduate Student Intern

I am currently a graduate student at Lamar University, specializing in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. Prior to entering this program, I received my bachelor’s degree in human services from Columbia College. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed a strong appreciation for the counseling relationship and the importance of meeting clients where they are with respect and empathy.

My experience spans over twenty years working in the non-profit sector with families from diverse backgrounds who have been affected by trauma, including children, adolescents, women, and couples. As a counselor, I utilize a person-centered approach grounded in compassion and empathy. I believe healing occurs when clients are able to explore their emotions within a safe and supportive environment. My objective is to ensure that clients feel supported and secure as we progress together through the therapeutic process.

Currently, I practice under the supervision of Rae Garr, LPC-S.
